Is a clinical psychologist with over 15 years’ of training and experience working with children, adolescents, families and adults. As a clinical psychologist, Nisin’s skills and knowledge lie in the assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based treatment of mental health conditions. She has a special interest in childhood and adolescent psychology including childhood trauma, anxiety, depression, adjustment, behavioural and developmental problems.
Nisrin has worked in schools, community, and mental health services as well as private psychology practices. She has ran therapeutic groups and parenting programs and is committed to enhancing relationships by utilising strengths-based and resilience models.
Nisrin’s therapeutic style is warm, empathic, compassionate, and engaging. Her techniques are evidence-based and adapted to suit the individual needs of the client. The theoretical background of her work is embedded in attachment theory and neuroscience models of child and adult development.
Nisrin is bilingual and speaks English and Arabic. She has many years of experience working with people from culturally and diverse backgrounds.
Nisrin continues to stay up to date with the latest research and knowledge in psychology by attending regular professional development trainings, workshops, and supervision. Nisrin is also an accredited supervisor by the Australian Health Practioner Regulatory Authority (AHPRA) and provides supervision to postgraduate psychology students
